Vhong Navarro is back in Da Possessed Movie!

0
STAR Cinema continues its grand 20th anniversary celebration as it opens the second quarter of 2014 with the most hilarious and most out-of-this-world comedy movie of the summer season as Vhong Navarro makes a grand comeback to the silver screen in Da Possessed. hong is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished and most talented comedians of his generation. His contribution in the field of comedy consists of an impressive body of work that consistently broke box-office records.

The Vhong Navarro Franchise includes three of the most unforgettable and most profitable comedy films Star Cinema has ever produced with Mr. Suave (2003), D’ Anothers (2005),and Agent X44 (2007) – all directed by Joyce Bernal – to name a few. This summer, after 7 lengthy years, the long wait is finally over as Vhong reunites with Bernal in Da Possessed. This highly anticipated reunion of Vhong’s and Bernal’s winning tandem will surely make millions of Filipinos roar in uncontrollable laughter once again with the fusion of

Vhong’s down-to-earth brand of comedy and Bernal’s outlandish storytelling techniques as the film’s main selling attractions. Written by Athena Aringo-Tengco, Ays De Guzman and Antoinette Jadaone, Da Possessed is a joint project of Star Cinema and Regal Films. The movie revolves around the peculiar story of simpleton Ramon who attempts to venture into landscape art. Ramon falls for his sexy boss but conflict begins when spirits from another world start to possess his body thus igniting a series of whacky and riotous events. Loved for the highly identifiable “zero to hero” characters that he has portrayed through the years,

Vhong has endeared himself to the entire nation as the Pinoy equivalent of “everyman” whom every Filipino can relate with. Vhong’s potent mass-appeal was further bolstered in 2009 when he joined ABS-CBN’s groundbreaking daily variety show It’s Showtime as one of its pioneering hosts. “It has always been my philosophy to always be happy and I want to spread all happiness that I can through my work not just as an actor but as a dancer and TV host as well,” says Vhong. “I am both overwhelmed and overjoyed with the solid support of ABS-CBN, Star Cinema, and my fans. We worked very hard to make sure that everyone would enjoy Da Possessed. We should all enjoy life together and we should all laugh together.”

Da Possessed also marks the very first film of sexy star Solenn Heussuaff under Star Cinema. “This is definitely a major milestone in my career,” says Solenn. “It’s such an honor to work with Vhong, Direk Joyce, and Star Cinema in this awesome project.” Also starring in Da Possessed is an assembly of the country’s finest comedians and character actors as led by John Sweet Lapus, Empoy, Smokey Manaloto, Beverly Salviejo, Lito Pimentel, Joy Viado, Matet De Leon, Aaliyah Belmoro, and Joey Marquez. Da Possessed will hit cinemas nationwide starting April 19.

0
A scandal video of comedian and Eat Bulaga host Wally Bayola has spread all over the internet making rounds of burning comments about a family man gone bad and how a comedian like him, has become a joke to amused netizens.

The video was first posted in Youtube, at the dawn of September 2, 2013. Since its discovery, Wally Bayola trended in the hashtags of the social media site Facebook with the keywords Wally and EB Babe Yosh. The video have gotten a lot of hate comments for Bayola was known to many as a married man.

We didn't get to finish watching what netizens refer to as 'the most disgusting' Filipino celebrity sex tape that ever leaked but the important lesson people can get from here is to never camcord any sexual acts most especially if it ruins the sanctity of marriage.

And yet we complain about Filipino films exposing the topic infidelity.

Are you Ready for ‘My Little Juan’

0
When Juan Dela Cruz premiered on Philippine television Coco Martin was not to be found. Of course, the story has to start from his birth which came with epic animated history of the 'Bakal na Krus', his parents romance and the back story of the villains. Later on its first week run, Izzy Canillo entered the picture with a fresh, witty and adorable performance as the little Juan.

As a little Juan, he's been doing a lot of unintended mischief around town and the people just fall in love with the little kiddo even to the point of not wanting Coco Martin to enter the picture just yet. But of course, the story has to progress but fortunately, Abs-Cbn is bringing back Izzy Canillo in My Little Juan.

My Little Juan” features the story of Juan’s whole childhood and his exciting adventures with Fr. Cito (Jaime Fabregas) before he became a full-fledged superhero. It is directed by Darnel Villaflor.

Don’t miss the grand premiere of “My Little Juan,” on Monday, 2:45pm, after “It’s Showtime” in ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold.

#Halalan 2013 - May 13 2013 Philippine Senatorial Election

0
Today the Filipino citizens will rise from their beds and some, out of the candidates desperation, will rise from their graves to cast their powerful votes and elect the people who may or may not deserve to sit in position. People will suffer from long queues, heat, rain or maybe the stench of the crowd and yet after all the obstacles they'll move on with their lives.

It's hard to demand change. It will take a long time to get what we want but the candidates who shall emerge as winners of the May 2013 Elections will arguably get their power that instant. Still, our power to vote is what's important. Today, we are given responsibility to make the right decisions and vote for the right person. So let's do it and think that everything will be worthwhile in the end.

Exercise your right to vote. Vote wisely! God bless Philippines!

Julia Montes, Enrique Gil New Teleserye in the Works!

0
Julia Montes and Enrique Gil's chemistry is undeniable in the MMFF 2013 entry The Strangers that we can't help but think incestuously for their characters. Fortunately, we've moved on from that nicely done film and we're damn antsy to see Julia Montes and Enrique Gil again.

And now, just now, Abs-Cbn has revealed that they got their hands to a new teleserye for Julia and Enrique. The project is still untitled but the two has already done some shoot for the promotional materials of their upcoming drama series.

Gil previously starred alongside Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in "Princess and I," which aired its last episode in February. Montes, meanwhile, was cast opposite Coco Martin in the "phenomenal" primetime series "Walang Hanggan," which ended in October last year.

Other cast and the director in-charge to this exciting teleserye are yet to be revealed. The new teleserye will hit the small screen later this year!

Charice's Mystery Girlfriend Photo Surfaces the Web

0
"What happened to the old Charice? She's dead like BB. " a friend exclaimed. Perhaps, wearing the trendy hairdo of one of the Padilla's (Daniel), a new photo of the 20 year old international singing sensation Charice Pempengco has surfaced the web. And as usual, it has become another laughingstock by most netizens who suspects Charice's sexual preference and odd choice of haircut.

Currently, the singer has remained mum over the new photo (along with the old ones) and no one could point out the identity of the mystery girl in the photo. Charice will probably answer this controversy after the May elections since she's busy going out of town as an international, national, regional, city-wide and barangay singer to electoral candidates and party list.

Vote Ladlad! Charot.

Once there, she ceremoniously destroys the last of her stash and swears off drugs for good in front of her friends.
Inside, they are shocked to discover that the abandoned cabin has been broken into. The cellar has been transformed into a grotesque altar surrounded by dozens of mummified animals. Eric becomes fascinated with an ancient book he discovers there. In thrall to its mysterious contents, he reads aloud from it, never suspecting the terrifying consequences he is about to unleash.

As Mia’s withdrawals worsen, she begins to unravel and attempts to flee, but is turned back by a frightening vision. New Charice Hairdo Draws Mixed Reactions from Netizens - Again!

0
I don't want to be the last person who will tell you "I told you so." about why Charice let herself be the center of attraction once again with her new look. While, nearly everyone gets a bad hair day, that day is probably everyday for the International singer. Apparently, she once again changed her look and of course that means cutting her hair. And what do you know? Short hair, tattoos, long sleeves, pants, what else is in there - I told you so!

Charice became controversial after a series of image change for the past few months but most especially during her turn as judge on the now defunct X-Factor Philippines. She once became a pancit canton girl, fast forward, a Daniel Padilla-ish girl(?) and now, she looks like a genetic mutation of Psy and Aiza Seguerra who borrowed a shirt from Vhong Navarro. Whatever!

ABS-CBN launches 2013 Summer Station ID “Kwento ng Summer Natin”

0
Abs-Cbn has once again released a Summer station ID for the year 2013 which carries the theme "Kwento ng Summer Natin" (Story of our Summer) with Sam Milby and Angeline Quinto performing the theme song. The must-watch Summer station ID is tripping down to memory lane by recollecting the biggest shows and pop culture trends over the past 60 years.

The video starts with every pinoy kid's favorite summer activity, flying a kite, and then the kite gets stuck to the roof of an abandoned house where an old television which didn't seem like a TV at first, lies. Then we get sucked in to a world full of Abs-Cbn shows and wow, from ancient tv shows of the 70's and 80's, until my birth decade, the 90's whern shows like Home Along Da Riles, Tabing Ilog and Ang TV matters and a whole lot more!

We also see, Abs-Cbn's most notable icon - the Sarimanok! Woot. It makes me feel like a kid again. They forgot to include morning educational programs like Hirayamanawari, Bayani and Sine Eskwela though.

Check it out and tell us what you have to say at the comments below.
