Sarah Geronimo Gets Nominated in World Music Awards 2013

0
There is no denying of the singing prowess of the Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo that it was not surprising that she's the only Filipino to get a nomination in the 2013 World Music Awards. Sarah Geronimo will vye against International and best-selling recording artists like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez among others in the three categories where she was nominated.

Apparently, Sarah got three nods on categories such as the “World’s Best Female Artist,” “World’s Best Live Act” and “World’s Best Entertainer of the Year.”

According to the website of WMA “There is no jury involved and the Awards truly reflect the most popular artists as they are determined by the actual fans who vote and buy the records. The national member groups of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) provide the organization with the names of the best-selling artists from the major territories.”

The World Music Awards website posted that “the world’s best-selling recording-artists in each category are determined by a thorough enquiry conducted by the organization which includes sales figures and record certifications in 2012.”

How to vote for Sarah Geronimo in the 2013 World Music Awards? No registration is required. Just click her photo on the landing pages of the following links:

A fan vote will only be counted once per category.

Barbie Forteza Performs 'Meron Ba' in Party Pilipinas

0
Singing is not really for everyone but the industry requires stars to have it developed after people get familiar of their faces and acting style. But when you're not gifted with such great voice, even if you try, it's never gonna work.

There are things to consider though. It's easy to become a recording artist these days because you'll have to go through a recording process and have your voice get digitally enhanced or you have gaps to take a deep breath and belt it all the way. But when you're performing live people should never assume things will be great for you. Unless of course, you have your name in the singing industry already but not when performing live.

Watch this:

But here's the thing with the talked about prod of Barbie Forteza in Party Pilipinas. The problem is she got out of tune in her performance and also she's got a deal with MCA Music with this feature 'Meron Ba'. And she's not even trying to be deliberately bad, she's trying to be a good singer but she's not so she may want to stop all this singing before everyone turns into Anne Curtis. Piece of advice. Don't Push it Barbie.

Anne Curtis maybe a bad singer but at least she was being cute and honest and everyone loved her for that. Something not all can have.

The song is really good. I mean Nikki Valdez' Meron Ba is without a doubt one of the most LSS inducing songs I've ever heard but Barbie Forteza's singing performance didn't gave justice to the song.

HBO Beyonce Documentary Soared at 1.8-Million viewers

0

HBO's latest documentary Beyonce's Life is But A Dream has pulled 1.8-Million viewers and becoming the cable network's most-watched docu in nearly 10 years. This is next to When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts which is about the devastation done by Hurricane Katrina that earned 1.7-Million viewers in 2006.

Here's an official teaser trailer of Beyoncé Knowles documentary.

“I always battle with how much do I reveal about myself. How do I stay current? How do I stay soulful? I felt like I had been so commercially successful, it wasn’t enough. It’s something really stressful about having to keep up with that,” says Bey in the trailer.

The documentary is said to touch her singing career, growing-up, being an independent woman, her husband Jay-Z, miscarriage and a tutorial on how to video blog using a Macbook Pro. Seriously? While I have yet to see the documentary myself and I'm sure it's going to be good watch given we don't always get to know a music icon every day.

Life Is But a Dream is directed by Beyonce herself, and it premiered on HBO last Saturday, February 16 at 9/8c. I can't wait to watch the replay of Bey's Life is But A Dream soon.

Sebastian Castro's Bubble Official Music Video

0
Anyone would probably raise their feet if asked "Who want's to see the Sebastian Castro's bubble?". And that, I mean, his new music video entitled Bubble which has now gone viral. Well, not really, but still from hundreds in a matter of hours the video got ten thousands of views. But to whether the raising of feet sounds appropriate or necessary when asked about seeing a bubble - you decide!

The real deal about this Bubble is it's stylish video with reference to Lady Gaga and probably the movie Magic Mike plus a twist of a sexy new dance chorus. But more than that, it brings back questions about Sebastian Castro's sexuality. He may have already answered that in one of his Youtube videos about Going Out. . .but until he didn't say it straight enough. But like most men, this - I'd like to use the word - cutie, might just need some vault for his passion in art, acting, singing and probably 'whatever you call that dance chorus'; And that's probably how this music video came to be.

Have you ever considered a Gentleman Gaga? What the...or shouldn't that be Man Gaga? Or considering the message of the music video, shouldn't we say Gay Gaga? Whatever it is, this rated SPG Music video works in so many freaking uh-oh levels. It deals about gyms, lockers, strippers, kneeling and that oh-oh feeling. I know, I know you can get pass all that but the upbeat and at times, sexy music kinda gets your head bobbing - alright! Admit it. The music was good.

The message or the story presented in the music video is clearly about a (gay) guy's first time - or losing his virginity which in an interview with Aliwan Avenue, the 22 year old Cosmo Bash 2011 model mentions. .
“I tried to recreate the feeling of losing my first time…losing my virginity… with 10 years in the making… I just wanted to make something so visually, musically, impulsive that would give anyone and everyone a glimpse to what it felt like.”
Well, that's quite relevant for Valentines. A lot of people will probably lose that today! Hahaha

So, what are you waiting for watch Bubble! For some reasons I cannot embed the video but you can go to Youtube and watch it there. But just in case you've already seen it, do you mind me asking, "did something just grew?"?
