Julia Montes, Enrique Gil New Teleserye in the Works!

0
Julia Montes and Enrique Gil's chemistry is undeniable in the MMFF 2013 entry The Strangers that we can't help but think incestuously for their characters. Fortunately, we've moved on from that nicely done film and we're damn antsy to see Julia Montes and Enrique Gil again.

And now, just now, Abs-Cbn has revealed that they got their hands to a new teleserye for Julia and Enrique. The project is still untitled but the two has already done some shoot for the promotional materials of their upcoming drama series.

Gil previously starred alongside Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in "Princess and I," which aired its last episode in February. Montes, meanwhile, was cast opposite Coco Martin in the "phenomenal" primetime series "Walang Hanggan," which ended in October last year.

Other cast and the director in-charge to this exciting teleserye are yet to be revealed. The new teleserye will hit the small screen later this year!

ABS-CBN launches 2013 Summer Station ID “Kwento ng Summer Natin”

0
Abs-Cbn has once again released a Summer station ID for the year 2013 which carries the theme "Kwento ng Summer Natin" (Story of our Summer) with Sam Milby and Angeline Quinto performing the theme song. The must-watch Summer station ID is tripping down to memory lane by recollecting the biggest shows and pop culture trends over the past 60 years.

The video starts with every pinoy kid's favorite summer activity, flying a kite, and then the kite gets stuck to the roof of an abandoned house where an old television which didn't seem like a TV at first, lies. Then we get sucked in to a world full of Abs-Cbn shows and wow, from ancient tv shows of the 70's and 80's, until my birth decade, the 90's whern shows like Home Along Da Riles, Tabing Ilog and Ang TV matters and a whole lot more!

We also see, Abs-Cbn's most notable icon - the Sarimanok! Woot. It makes me feel like a kid again. They forgot to include morning educational programs like Hirayamanawari, Bayani and Sine Eskwela though.

Check it out and tell us what you have to say at the comments below.

Kris Aquino Resigns and Cries Over James Yap!

0
Kris Aquino  is definitely the queen of all media after her sudden appearance together with her sisterakas in a shocking live interview on National TV, whichever network you prefer, Thursday night, March 21, 2012. Trying to get everyone's attention she cried on national television about leaving showbizness to focus on being a full-time Mommy to her 'Baby James' who is at the center of the highly controversial Kris Aquino and James Yap feud.

According to the TV host, she did not inform any of her siblings, her lawyer or the management of ABS-CBN about her decision to quit showbiz. And yet her siblings were right there by her side for moral support and were mildly shocked together with the rest of the televiewers while Kris does the best acting performance she's ever done in her career. Not to say that this whole thing is scripted but the performance was so raw that I almost fell for it. Kudos! Also, Abs-Cbn agreed to be shocked for they might get a very high rating for this live telecast.

In her interview Kris Aquino said she will resign and drop her current tv shows, the daytime lifestyle show "Kris TV", the primetime series "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" and the weekend talent show "Pilipinas Got Talent".

“I’m giving up my shows. Hindi ko sinasabi ‘yan just so that I can say na I’m the one making the bigger sacrifice. Tinatalikuran ko ang mundo na kinilala ko na bumuhay sa akin dahil higit doon sa karera ko, mas mahal ko ang anak ko,” she said.

She also mentioned something about woman empowerment, her knowledge about laws concerning women and how can she not mention her Mom and all of which indicates nothing but a latent political agenda.

The interview was also triggered by the current controversy with her former husband James Yap. This started when Kris Aquino filed a 30-day temporary protection order against James Yap for alleged "overt sexual advances" and "mean and malicious statements" during one of Yap's visit to their 5 year old son "Bimby" last year. So she was seduced and didn't like it? The interview went on in circles about how she feels and according to her "she felt violated as a woman."

On Using Malacanang

Kris Aquino denied the allegation that she used her brother's position of power in threatening her former husband James Yap. While we haven't heard anything from PNoy yet, Bam Aquino, who is a senatorial candidate for the upcoming May Elections assured Kris Aquino won't use Malacanang against James Yap.

Please, help yourself by watching the full video of last night's interview of Kris Aquino with TV Patrol. Please be aware that you'll be wasting 27:54 minutes of your life.

Rant

They don't want to add up to Pnoy's load of unresolved national issue yet they appeared on national television. Why is that?

So who is it? Are you team Kris or James? I pick Bimby. He doesn't deserve this!

Random Thoughts

She's going to have a lifetime achievement award for "no acting, acting" since this performance is said to be not "scripted". Her raw performance on national television, is the best she's ever done in her career. Who would have thought she had that in her?

Conclave will start after 15 days! After that a white smoke will appear on Malacanang and a new commandment will suddenly be known to humankind that states "Thou Shall Not Seduce Your Former Wife".

In the future, Kris will have a biopic and it will have a 27:54 minutes climax.

The announcement became a shock to everyone however most  etizens consider this event not surprising at all. Known for being an open book, there is no stopping Kris Aquino to spill every details of her life but apparently with this hopefully it will the last.

Sunshine Cruz returns to Acting via ABS-CBN

0
Actress Sunshine Cruz became the talks of netizens after her outburst on her social networking sites regarding the alleged 'special' relationship between her husband Cesar Montano and Krista Miller. After a decade of hiatus in acting, the actress confirms her small screen comeback with Abs-Cbn over twitter. She tweeted to a fan "Soon! Sa kapamilya,".

This comeback is said to be an attempt to divert attention from her marital problems with Cesar Montano. It can be noted that about months ago Sunshine made a guest appearance on Abs-Cbn's hit daytime show 'Be Careful With My Heart' as the wife of Sir Chief (Richard Yap).

In between being a full time wife and mom to the Montano family, Sunshine Cruz also did some projects like  El Presidente and Biktima. Are you excited to see Sunshine Cruz on Abs-Cbn primetime bida? I bet she'll be a great addition to the stellar cast of Abs-Cbn's teleseryes. I want to see her in a villainy role.

Claudine Barretto Returns to Abs-Cbn!

13
Allow me to say that no matter what Claudine Barretto has done in the past she's still a good actress. And while she may have been given the weirdest rebound tv show in GMA-7 (Iglot), after her epic last show in Abs-Cbn (Iisa Pa Lamang), now that she's considered a freelance (if not network-less) artist she well-deserves a warm welcome with regards to the rumor that she's coming back to her home studio Abs-cbn for 17 years.

Her career as of writing this is either struggling or in a hiatus but whatever it is, give her a project and she'll do the best. And that I'm saying notwithstanding her attitude! So everyone, if this rumor happens to be true let's all welcome the Ms. Claudine Barretto who also has big contributions to the industry. However if she ever comes back, like for real, she needs to get her old figure back. See photo on the left!

Are you excited for Claudine Barretto's return to Abs-Cbn?

Anne Curtis Wet Look Wardrobe Malfunction on ASAP18

0
Wouldn't it be nice to free yourself sometimes on your birthday? That's probably the lousiest thing I've ever heard but whether or not that was the intention of Anne Curtis for wearing a high-slit black gown that made her look like she had a wardrobe malfunction, I think it's not a very big deal at all.

I think it's enough to know that they deliberately made it seem like she's not wearing any underwear. I'm not saying that MTRCB should stop doing whatever they are doing now. I think they should do their work as well. Let's all just stop thinking about it and leave it to the parties involved. If you can't, then book for a wet look production at ASAP 18, hire  hire Boom Sason to make you a high-cut and you may or may not wear panties at all.

Anne Curtis sang Rihanna's Diamonds wearing the black gown with a high-slit until her song summons the cumulonimbus clouds and she's drenched in fake rain showers which is super hot!

Abs-Cbn Vs Gma-7 Libel Case

0
Press Release - ABS-CBN Corporation reiterated its stand that the nine-year old libel case filed by GMA Network against it has no basis.
ABS-CBN chairman Eugenio ‘Gabby’ Lopez III and other current and former employees of the network posted bail in connection with the case after, the Quezon City Regional Trial Court issued arrest warrants for them last week.

The arrest warrants were issued against Lopez, Erwin Tulfo, Lynda Jumilla, Beth Frondoso, Maria Progena Estonilo Reyes, Annie Eugenio, Dondi Garcia, Luis Alejandro, Jose Ramon Olives, Jesus Maderazo, Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Jose Magsaysay Jr., and Alfonso Marquez.
In a press statement, head of ABS-CBN Integrated Corporate Communications Bong Osorio said the accused “will avail themselves of all legal remedies to question the findings of probable cause for the arrest warrants.”

“It is unfortunate that the respondents are being pilloried as criminals, when in fact, it was ABS-CBN whose rights were violated. They are confident that this libel suit will eventually be dismissed,” Osorio said.
ABS-CBN had accused GMA of using without permission ABS-CBN’s broadcast coverage of overseas Filipino worker Angelo dela Cruz’ arrival in the Philippines after he was released by Iraqi militants in 2004.
GMA picked up and aired the footage from foreign news agency Reuters Television Service despite an advisory sent by Reuters stating “No Access Philippines” or that the material could not be used by its subscribers in the Philippines without consent. The “no access” rule is also contained in the standard Reuters agreement with its subscribers in relation to video material sourced from other subscribers in a particular territory.

Osorio pointed out that GMA used the ABS-CBN coverage “without its authority and consent and thus was charged by ABS-CBN with copyright infringement.”
GMA’s libel complaint against ABS-CBN was dismissed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) private prosecutor ACP Venturaza in 2004, and which dismissal was affirmed by former Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez in 2005.

However, in 2010, former acting Justice Secretary Alberto Agra reversed Gonzalez’ resolution. And in 2011, Justice Secretary Leila De Lima affirmed Agra’s resolution.
ABS-CBN has a pending petition with the Court of Apppeals questioning the DOJ’s resolution finding probable cause for libel against them.

Jane Oineza Nominated at Finalist at 2013 NYF

0
Kapamilya teen actress Jane Oineza received a nod for a best actress nomination in the 2013 New York Festivals after her performance in the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK). Jane portrayed a young girl named Nene who was raped by her stepdad in front of her mother. Entitled 'Manika', it was by far the most controversial episode from MMK in recent memory. Jane Oineza is vying against USA's Julia Stiles and Troian Bellisario who are both from the web series 'WIGS'.

I wasn't able to see that episode but from the teasers at Youtube, it looked like Jane Oineza's performance was a loud one. Not that it's bad, loud performances can actually be great especially if the story requires so. And after all what Nene's character have gone through in MMK or the real Nene in real life per se, she definitely deserves every right to burst into anger, sadness and a lot other emotions.

If she bags away the best actress I promise to watch the episode myself and give you a review even though it's quite delayed.

Sarah Geronimo Clarifies Differences Between New Project and MMK

0
When Popstar princess Sarah Geronimo's Sunday night variety show Sarah G. Live was cancelled, Abs-Cbn prompted everyone with a list of projects for the singer actress. And one of them is a drama anthology which when we heard, we initially thought, would replace the longest drama anthology MMK. In an interview with Abs-Cbn News, the actress shared.

“Exciting po itong magiging journey ko sa aking bagong proyekto na drama anthology. It’s a challenge for me bilang actress. Sana may mapakita tayo na bago, may ma-showcase tayo na bago sa televiewers natin,” she said.
She was quick to explain though that the stories featured on her drama anthology will be different from those shown on MMK.
“Hindi naman pang ‘MMK.’ Siyempre iiwan po natin iyon sa ‘MMK’ pero importante na may kurot pa rin ang bawat storya na gagawin natin at hindi pa rin mawawala 'yung kung saan ako una nakilala na light and bubbly,” she said.
As of the moment, Sarah is keeping herself busy with projects like the upcoming drama anthology, The Voice and her film It Takes A Man and A Woman, to forgive the person who recently hurt her and for her career growth as well.
